camps cleaning and lt
November 3rd, 2008 by singleworddomainCamps.com, cleaning.com, and LT.com all sold the past week. Camps.com sold for $110,000 and both cleaning.com and LT.com sold for a cool $100,000. The economy is still weakening but domain names still seem to fetch top dollars. I like to compare domain names to real estate. When the market is bad, a lot of people try to sell off their investments. They can not afford to keep these investments. So, they are forced to get rid of them at deep discounts. But, the big difference between domains and real estate is that domain names do not require you to continue investing your money. You do not need to pay off expensive mortgages or property taxes. All you need to do is maintain the renew fee for registration.
The next time you think about domain names investing, think about how easy it is to maintain. Domain names are virtual real estate without the expensive mortgage and property tax.
